OTHER EVENTS
A few times a term
We run events every so often during term time. These give us a chance to share Jesus' word with other members of college, which is one of the most important things we can do as a Christian Union! This can look like a Text-a-Toastie (Christians really love alliteration) - where anyone is free to text in, request a toastie with a topping of their choice, and ask a meaningful question about Christianity, Jesus and/or faith. Or, for a few weeks in Summer term, it might look like inviting our friends for a game of Rounders!

CICCU, the Cambridge Inter-Collegiate Christian Union, is the uni-wide Christian Union.

Emma college group is part of something bigger. Every Thursday, the whole Christian Union is invited to worship, pray and learn together. It is great to hear what God is doing in other colleges, and to listen to some fab speakers.

People come from all colleges to pray together on Monday mornings at 8am, usually in the round church

In January, we spend four days away in the countryside. It is a time dedicated to God in worship, with talks, seminars and prayer, hopefully filling us with excitement to make Jesus known throughout the term ahead. With lots of cake, games, a ceilidh, country walks and small group discussions, it's also an great chance to make friends with people from other colleges.
CICCU and all its members come together each year to host a busy week of evangelistic talks. Across the university, students have the opportunity to enjoy some free food, hear the good news and ask questions to the speakers. Events week takes a lot of planning, prayer, practical stuff and people and is usually a very encouraging, exciting week!
CICCU hosts many one-off events such as the carol services, talks by great speakers on different topics, jazz/pudding nights - and so on.
